By the end of the course students will be able to: • Find authoritative national and international research ethics guidelines, and explain the issues these documents address and why they are important to medicine, science, and society • List the requirements for ethical research • Analyze the ethics of the design of a given study • Describe what is meant by the ‘responsible conduct of research’ • Describe challenges to research integrity
